A worldwide app designed to help family businesses has been launched for the iPhone, potentially helping Brits get advice on the main issues they face.
According to
Campdenfb.com, the app was created by the Business Families Foundation (BFF). Although based in Canada, it has launched the app in order to help companies wherever they are located, so is ideal for any UK-based
family business.
The foundation's president, Pascal Michaud, revealed the thinking behind the app: "We wanted to create a highly spontaneous educational user experience.
"These videos help build awareness of importance challenges facing business families, inspire them in their leadership roles, engage them in family governance education and also act as a neutral conversation starter on sensitive governance issues."
Covering everything from managing wealth and handling succession in a family business, the app provides a three-part course for owners of such companies. It has also been launched for the iPad, something which Michaud is "thrilled" about,
Sfgate.com. The move came after the founders of BFF, Philippe and Nan-b de Gaspe Beaubien, realised that the ever-changing world of technology has adapted family business communication. As such, they decided to offer family businesses access to their entire library of videos regarding family business management.
These can be searched via keyword and category, allowing users to find the most relevant content for them.
