The Tyneside and Northumberland business awards were announced on March 18th at the Marriot Gosforth Park Hotel in Newcastle. The Specials Laboratory run by Vistage member Sharon Griffiths was named Regional Company of the year. They also won the Manufacturing Award sponsored by Tyne & Wear City Region Employment Service. They now go on to the grand final on April 29th at the Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, where they will compete with the finalists from the other sub regions of Durham & Wearside and Tees Valley.Other Vistage members Houghton International won the Small Business Award sponsored by Royal Mail which completes a great year for the company. We join their Chair David D'Arcy in congratulating them on their award wins and wishing them success in the finals.
