# Vistage members Philip and Neill Brodey of Norbar Torque Tools celebrate double award win

A glowing example of British manufacturing, [Norbar Torque Tools](http://www.norbar.com/Portals/0/QA_News.pdf) in Banbury, has been honoured with the [Queen’s Award](http://www.queensawards.org.uk/business/Winners/2009.html) for Enterprise: International Trade for its contribution to UK manufacturing exports. The family-owned business has become the world’s top specialist manufacturer of torque tools and this year celebrates 67 successful years. The award highlights a success story in a sector that has generally experienced decline. As well as success in the Queen's Awards, Norbar were also named Best UK Family Business in the £5-25m turnover category of the [Coutts](http://www.coutts.com/familybusiness/prize/about/2008-09-national-winners/norbar.asp) ![Coutts Family Business Awards   June 09](https://blog.vistage.co.uk/hs-fs/hub/258171/file-36416908.jpg?width=300&height=196&name=file-36416908.jpg "Coutts Family Business Awards   June 09")prize for Family Business 2008/9.

Philip Brodey, Sales & Marketing Director of Norbar said: ‘At a time when all we seem to hear about is doom and gloom this award will be a real boost to our staff and also hopefully send a message out to other manufacturers that business is out there to be won.’ And, the award is not the only good news from Norbar. The £20m turnover firm is continuing to invest in production equipment, new business systems, sales channels and people.
